Direct Service Provider

No previous experience necessary. Training will be provided for this entry-level role

Easterseals UCP is looking for empathetic, dedicated, and caring Direct Service Providers (DSPs) to become part of our team. As a DSP, you will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in acquiring and retaining the necessary skills to enhance their independence at home and in the community. Working under the guidance of a program supervisor, DSPs help clients develop socially appropriate daily living skills. Beyond aiding clients, DSPs also offer families valuable respite support.

We are actively seeking part-time and full-time DSPs to deliver services to families in Asheville, NC. Our schedules are flexible, accommodating days, evenings, and weekends. The compensation ranges from $14-18 per hour.

We have job openings available at the following locations and shifts:

* Canton – $18/hour - CLS - 40 Hours a week - FULL TIME/No Weekends - M-F 8a – 4p – CNA Experience Preferred *F

* Downtown Asheville – $18/hour – CLS – 11 hours a week - Afternoons after 2:30 pm *F

* Hendersonville – $17/hour - Community Networking - Saturdays, 6 hours a week – PRN Staff *M

* Mills River – $18/hour - Supported Employment hours a week - Friday 11:15a – 4:15p and Sunday 1:15p – 6:15p*M

*Mills River - $17/hour – Community Networking – 4 hours a week – Flexible Schedule *M

* West Asheville - $20/hour – CLS - *CNA Experience preferred* hours a week – 4:30p – 8:30p Flexible Days *M

RESPITE CASES

* Canton – $9/hour - Respite- 6 hours a week *F

* Downtown Asheville – $9/hour - Respite – 6 hours a week *F

* Mills River – $9/hour - Respite - Flexible Scheduling *M

Minimum Requirements:

  • Passion for assisting others
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record
  • Completion and upkeep of our training program, covering (but not limited to) the following:
    • CPR/First Aid
    • Crisis Intervention Techniques
    • Medication Administration
    • OSHA/Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP)
    • Seizure Management
    • Relevant core competencies and trainings for the role
