IMMEDIATE OPENING* for a Full-time or Part-time Optometrist to support the Naval Health Centers located in Virginia Beach, VA.
Perform a full range of optometry services.

Routine workload is scheduled by the treatment facility through the appointment system and subject to the approval of the department head.

Secondary workload is a result of consultation requests submitted to the facility by other staff health care providers. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the HCW will be assigned administrative tasks commensurate with the position.

  • Performing basic visual acuity tests
  • Measuring and recording distance and near vision, color testing and pinhole vision
  • Binocular coordination testing (vergences, phorias, accommodation)
  • Visual field testing - automated and manual
  • Doctor of Optometry.
  • Graduate from a school or college approved by the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) of the American Optometric Association.
  • Relocation assistance (if necessary)
