This position is at our main location located near the Albany County Airport

The summer schedule is 7:00am to 3:30pm

JOB DETAIL:

Garage Supervisor / Shop Foreman

Overview:

This is a newly created position as part of our expansion.

We are looking for an experienced garage service professional who can manage the flow of trucks from vehicle check-in, to customer check-out, ensuring all builds are done correctly and every T&T customer is satisfied.

General duties:

• Coordinate Appointments with the sales team and maintain Garage Appointment Calendar
• Add vehicles to garage workflow and assign to mechanic
• Instruct mechanics and supervise upfitting work
• Ensure Work Orders (WO's) and parts Purchase Order (PO's) are accurate and classified.
• Coordinate with Inventory Manager on RMA / RTV's on warranty parts.
• Ensure all work orders are accurate and parts match mechanic time cards before delivering to accounting for final invoice review.
• Fielding customer calls and updating them, gaining necessary work approvals.
• Performing one of several quality inspections before the truck leaves the garage.
• Assist senior leadership as needed with various tasks to ensure operational objectives are met.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
(Organization, Customer Service, Computer, Mechanical, ability to learn, Planning and Time Management)

• Municipal Truck Body / Plow and Hydraulic Installation / repair experience acquired within the past 5 years.
• Demonstrated leadership in a Town, Highway or Upfitting garage.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret, instructions, drawings and technical plans.
• Ability to adhere and enforce garage PPE and company EHS guidelines. (Safety footwear, eye protection, noise protection, welding, paint shop, etc.)
