Mechanical Design Engineer

The primary responsibility for this role is the design of custom miniature motor systems used in high performance surgical hand tools and surgical robotics systems, as well as in aerospace and other industrial applications.
Additional responsibilities include sustaining engineering support for our customers and innovation to enable technology breakthroughs that extend our ability to serve our customer's unmet needs.
The R&D team is an essential component of Micro-Motions's growth strategy, requiring creative, effective, and flexible candidates able to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This position will report to our Engineering Manager and is located in West Chester, PA.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of new and advanced miniature motor drive systems from concept to production in a cross functional engineering and manufacturing environmentWork closely with Customers and the Commercial Team to gather design inputs from various sources and translate that input into engineering requirementsWork closely with the New Product Development and Manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability of new designsDevelop & integrate new technology that extends the performance and capabilities of our productsSupport internal and external customer change requests and sustaining engineering needsParticipate in the innovation process and lead the development of new processes and designsChampion the company's culture and core values:
