Purpose of Job Class (Nature of Work)
This role involves independently assessing individuals' healthcare needs, developing treatment plans, and providing consultation services to enhance the system.
Examples of Duties
This role includes providing advanced nursing treatments, diagnosing medical conditions, prescribing medication, and collaborating with clinical staff to optimize services. It also involves providing psychiatric care, educating individuals, and participating in quality assurance.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability
The ideal candidate will have advanced nursing knowledge, interpersonal skills, and clinical assessment abilities. Strong communication and administrative skills are essential.
Minimum Qualifications - General Experience
Must hold a current APRN license issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have a CT Controlled Substance Registration for Practitioners.
Special Requirements
- Must maintain relevant registrations/certifications
- May be required to travel
Working Conditions
This role may involve patient care, exposure to infectious diseases, and lifting patients.
