Responsibilities:

Perform x-ray and CT procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Ensure patient comfort and cooperation during imaging procedures.

Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure proper patient positioning for accurate images.

Provide direct patient care across all age groups.

Explain procedures to patients, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.

Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after imaging procedures.

Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, patient information, and anomalies observed.

Document radiation doses administered.

Adhere to hospital and departmental attendance, punctuality, and safety guidelines.

Comply with organizational policies and procedures.

Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment when necessary.

Qualifications:

Vocational/Technical Degree in Radiography Program.

1-2 years of Radiology or X-Ray experience.

Required Certifications/Licensures: ARRT Registry eligible, obtained within one year of hire.

Organizational, communication, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.

Proficiency in grammar/spelling.

Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.

Ability to follow verbal instructions.

Basic computer and general clerical skills.

Working Conditions:

Work in a well-lit, air-conditioned area with moderate noise levels.

Possible exposure to high noise levels and bright lights.

Potential exposure to limited hazardous substances and infectious organisms.

Requirement to switch between tasks of different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.

May be scheduled as needed, including overtime.

Physical Requirements:

Near-normal vision with clarity at various distances and ability to distinguish colors.

Good manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions.
