Job Summary
As a valuable member of our team, you will support physicians and advanced clinical practitioners in various tasks. This includes assisting with patient care, administrative duties, and more. You'll play a crucial role in scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and ensuring accurate billing and coding for insurance purposes. Additionally, you'll be responsible for administering medications under physician guidance and providing essential information to patients for optimal service utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service to enhance the overall patient experience
  • Interact effectively with patients and families in various sensitive situations
  • Showcase critical thinking skills and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Update and maintain patients' medical records and vital signs accurately
  • Follow standard procedures and adhere to regulatory standards
  • Perform laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures as required
  • Lead and train junior staff members
  • Handle and log laboratory specimens efficiently
  • Ensure timely tracking and communication of test results to the care team
  • Act as a super user for Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
  • Contribute to unit-based projects on an annual basis

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Certification as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience post-certification
- Proficiency in medical assisting duties and responsibilities
- Strong performance record with positive evaluations
