POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direct and indirect supervision, the Patient Account Leader will manage the revenue cycle for their assigned practice(s).

The Patient Account Leader will be responsible for sending claims daily with required x-rays, narratives, and/or charting, posting insurance and patient payments, and working both patient and insurance accounts receivables.

This position will provide support to both patients and the practices, to ensure best practices and patient care.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review patient accounts receivables, audit accounts, and send out statements, ensuring these tasks are fully completed each month.
  • Reconcile patient accounts to ensure accuracy.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding billing and insurance.
  • Make collection calls and run patient payments.
  • Assist patients with payment plans and financial arrangements.
  • Ensure all billing and patient records comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance policies and billing procedures.
  • Complete End of Day Tracker, daily for balancing purposes
  • Generate and review credit and balance reports daily for the offices, ensuring they are completed at least two business days in advance.
  • Uses discretion and independent judgment to assess coverage and insurance claims, resolving billing disputes with mínimal supervision.
  • Generate and finalize required reports, completing tasks within the specified deadlines.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to the assigned work schedule and office policies.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to coordinate patient care and billing processes.
  • Must always represent the practice and company in a professional, pleasant, and cooperative manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience.
