The position: Project Master Scheduler

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Ability to work in MS Project server environment to build out enterprise custom fields, create look up values in the enterprise custom fields and build a structure to be used when creating new project under different programs and then roll it up in a portfolio.

Manage enterprise resource center (add new resources, groups, inactivating a resource no longer needed, etc.)

Monitoring program and overall portfolio Schedule Performance Indexes (SPIs) to check if project is behind schedule or on track to take remedial actions as appropriate. This requires a good knowledge of understanding how baselining works, when to do a re-baseline, making sure that program and portfolio baselines are up to date because of any project level changes.

Creating weekly portfolio health reports/dashboards, showing overall progress, SPIs, milestones (late, up next, completed) and other key metrics to be used by key stakeholders to make decision.

Determining any project interdependencies to see an impact of one project to another that might be pose a risk.

Creating and managing user groups such as program managers, project managers, resource managers and giving them the right level of view and access to projects (edit vs read only access)

Archiving closed and completed projects for historical purposes. This could be used for future projects as some info might be reusable in new projects.

Troubleshooting any issues at the server level, such as project not accessible or project managers cannot check out and edit a schedule or any other issues that is affecting the users to access their project schedules.

Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring all project schedule management processes within the portfolio.

Other duties as necessary to meet project needs.
