Job Description:

Assumption University seeks candidates for a full-time, Professor of Practice position in Clinical Counseling Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. This position is a twelve-month faculty position. The successful candidate must have a strong background in cognitive-behavioral therapy and the ability to teach courses in the Master of Arts program in Clinical Counseling Psychology. Teaching assignments include graduate-level courses such as counseling principles, abnormal psychology, measurement principles, ethics, and cognitive-behavioral assessment of children and adults. Teaching undergraduate courses (e.g., The successful candidate is expected to engage in service to the institution and demonstrate ongoing practice and professional development in the field.


Requirements:

Applicants must have earned a doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology by the date of hire and be licensed (or license-eligible) in the state of MA. Preference will be given to candidates with university-level teaching experience and clinical experience in providing evidence-based interventions. Applicants must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.
