Job Description

Position Overview:

We are excited to announce an opportunity at Signet Health, a leading national company specializing in behavioral health and acute rehabilitation. Currently, we are looking for a dedicated PPS Coordinator to join our team at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Collect data on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) accurately and submit it to CMS on time.
  • Provide education to clinical staff to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines.
  • Resolve immediate issues related to GG scoring and rating.
  • Review IRF-PAI data regularly and support the Director in taking necessary actions.
  • Guide rehab physicians and the clinical team in assigning tier codes for proper reimbursement.
  • Offer feedback to the team through audits on scoring, rating, and quality measures.
  • Establish a schedule for each patient to complete the IRF-PAI promptly.
  • Present key metrics to the leadership team during daily meetings.
  • Collaborate with the HIM coding department to document all relevant codes concurrently.
  • Support the Clinical Liaison as needed to enhance unit efficiency.
  • This role requires achieving high-functioning results in a dynamic, challenging, and fulfilling environment.


Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Must hold current state licensure in nursing (RN) or allied health profession (PT, OT, SLP).
  • Prior experience as a PPS Coordinator in acute rehabilitation or a related field is essential.
  • Preferred experience with ICD 10 coding.
  • Previous exposure to CMS data collection, MDS, IRF-PAI, OASIS is beneficial.
