Job Description:

Performs the service of replenishing stock and all required cleaning required behind the bar. The purpose of the position is to work behind the bar to facilitate the smooth flow of service to customers by the Bartender/Cocktail Server. Checks and maintains the required par stock on assigned station; obtains replacement stock from the warehouse inventory in accordance with established procedures; maintains cleanliness and order on assigned station. Delivers assistance to team with an upbeat, positive manner. Maintains a clean work area as well as cleans up spills, sweeps, mops, stocks etc

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintains par levels of operating supplies and equipment. Ensures orders are checked in and placed in proper locations. Checks expiration dates and these items are checked in and reports items that are expired or about to expire.
  • Ensures product is rotated to ensure items do not perish or expire.
  • Ensures all items are clean and maintained, such as carts, mats, floors, drains, spills, etc.
  • Ensures all health code standards are followed when using chemicals.
  • Ensures sanitizing buckets are set up in each station allowing bartenders to clean their work areas as they go.
  • Ensures all trash bins are removed and emptied and keeps trash from over flowing. Cleans these periodically as needed.
  • Maintains clean work areas, sweeps and mops floors, cleans drains.
  • Assists with deep cleaning, as well as cleaning and maintaining all equipment and coolers. Cleans spills.
  • Ensures all employees have the tools and supplies they need to complete their job duties.
  • Follows outlet policies and procedures for operational flow in each bar area..
  • Follows standards for stocking, rotating and storing all products.
  • Follows inventory and stocking guidelines.
  • Learns and demonstrates all performance standards.
  • Knows and promotes customer events and programs and can provide accurate information to our guests.
  • Arrives to work with proper attire on. Uniform clean and pressed, with name tag and badge visible.
  • Assists servers and Bartenders with tasks. Ensures both have the tools and items needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Education Preferred:

High School Diploma or equivalent. General Math Skills, Verbal Communication (speak, read and write English), Customer Service, Resolving Conflict, Teamwork, Persistence, Energy Level, Selling to Customer Needs, Thoroughness, Professionalism, Client Relationships

Physical Requirements:
  • Mobility and dexterity to move and carry large heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to continuously stand and maneuver in confined area.
  • Mobility to move easily in outlet and storage areas.
  • Ability to frequently push or pull 75lbs.
  • Ability to continually stand and/or walk entire shift.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold environment.

Licensing and Certification Required:

Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license. The initial license is paid for by the employee. All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah's Kansas City.
