Nurse Manager

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Manager, who will be responsible for providing management and oversight of professional nursing assessment of health needs, provision of nursing care and contribution to the plan of care for individuals and families of the center.

Salary- $95-100K Plus $10K Sign on Bonus and extra PTO
Fulltime, Salaried position M-F onsite, No Weekends or Holidays

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Identifies, plans, develops, organizes, implements and evaluates all nursing services and ensures that established standards, regulations and PACE philosophies are observed.
  • Participates as a member of the "team" for the establishment, ongoing assessment and evaluation of the participant plan of care. Provides center leadership in the absence of the Day Center Manager.
  • Participates collaboratively in the development, update and maintenance of policies and procedures of clinical nursing operations. Provides center leadership in the absence of the Day Center Manager.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of staff for nursing service provision.
  • Actively participates in the annual budgeting process for Center Nursing Services and provides ongoing monitoring and correction of budget variances.
  • Determines and is responsible for meeting staffing requirements in collaboration with the Center Administrator for safe provision of care on a 24-hour coverage basis.
  • Working with the CNO, interviews, selects, and orients new staff as budgeted positions become available.
  • Directs and evaluates work performance of nursing staff, insuring the continuous provision of safe and quality care within the context of a PACE model.
  • Provides periodic and annual evaluation of employee performance.
  • Assesses the Nursing Services program's progress in accordance with established PACE goals and objectives. Makes recommendations in collaboration with the Center Administrator with the changing needs of the Participants.
  • In collaboration with the Center Administrator and the Interdisciplinary Team, oversees, reviews, and monitors nursing services included in the participant's plan of care, to include changes and necessary adjustments to ensure that proper nursing is provided.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Registered Nurse with current licensure;
  • Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the specific needs of the Participant served.
  • Frequently required to manage many details within a fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough working knowledge of supporting cognitively impaired seniors and their families to deal with sensitive issues and facilitate problem solving.
  • Possesses the knowledge of the human growth and development of the Participant served.
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve complex situations.
