Manage aviation procurement and purchasing duties, coordinating the acquisition of items, services, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies for all product lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and placement of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Engage with suppliers for market analysis, cost evaluation, and cycle time assessment, expediting deliveries and shipments as needed.
  • Manage both domestic and international procurement, presenting capabilities and exploring options for flexibility in products and tools.
  • Conduct research through various sources such as catalogs, trade journals, and the internet to identify necessary goods.
  • Compile daily status reports on materials and purchased parts for each product line.
  • Procure a wide range of items including materials, parts, consumables, and supplies, while making informed purchase versus lease decisions in line with company policies.
  • Analyze market conditions, material costs, and industry trends to develop informed supply recommendations and strategies.
  • Ensure all purchase requisitions follow proper channels for authorization, addressing any issues with orders promptly.
  • Utilize tools like ILS for cost analysis, and continually seek best practices based on cost, time, quality, capabilities, contracts, and partnerships.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the procurement function.
