Machinist Welder at Interstate Power Systems

Interstate Power Systems is looking for an experienced **Machinist Welder** to join their team at the Gillette, Wyoming location. If you're passionate about operating machinery, performing welding tasks, and fabricating metal parts and structures, this role is for you.

Job Duties:

• Conduct plant maintenance, crusher rebuilds, conveyor repairs, and various welding projects.
• Perform welding repairs on large mining equipment like shovels, draglines, and haul trucks.
• Fabricate according to prints and have experience with stick, wire feed, hard wire, and hard facing.
• Interface effectively with service writers, foremen, parts department, and customers.
• Read blueprints and have at least 2 years of experience.
• Be proficient in field boring and lathe operation.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Prior experience as a machinist welder or similar role.
• Ability to operate machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and blueprints.
• Attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding and machining.
