Banking System Administrator

Description:
The role of Banking System Administrator at Western Alliance Bank involves overseeing the daily operations of the bank's systems, collaborating with various IT departments and vendors, and ensuring timely handling of system requests and escalations. The ideal candidate is experienced in FIS core systems software for medium to large banks.

Responsibilities:
  • Support banking applications and their dependencies, from requirements gathering to troubleshooting.
  • Assist in the solution delivery lifecycle, working with IT developers, vendors, and implementation teams.
  • Contribute to the Change Management process and provide training to other Banking System Administrators.
  • Review and update documentation for applications and collaborate with technology teams to resolve issues.
  • Support existing solutions through regular interactions and improvement deliveries.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of IT experience in financial services for medium to large institutions.
  • Experience in application support, professional services, and writing technical requirements.
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Familiarity with FIS banking core systems and Lean Processes Improvement.
