Structural Bridge Engineer

We are currently searching for a talented Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our East Gulf Region in Brentwood, TN or surrounding area.
The ideal candidate will assist their department by performing basic engineering-related tasks including research, development, design, and delivery on assigned project(s).
What you'll be doing:
Perform calculations and analysis for designing bridge and transportation structures using various bridge design software programsReview calculations and design details developed by othersProject managementWork sharing on project assignments throughout our corporate footprintHelping to grow TN operationsPerform load ratings on bridges of various type size and complexityBridge safety inspectionsAttend meeting with clients and other professionals and organizationsDevelop solutions to challenges presented by the client within budget, schedule, and project constraintsReview shop drawings and other construction related submittalsOrganize and maintain project filesQuantity take-off for bridge project engineer's estimate What you need to have:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringValid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.)
in Tennessee preferred or ability to obtain4 + years of engineering experience in bridge designTDOT bridge design experience preferredSkilled in the use of Microstation or AutoCADTechnical expertise for the layout & design of bridges and related highway structuresFamiliarity with rehabilitation of existing bridges and highway structuresCharacteristics of a successful Volkert team member:
