As the Associate Director Registered Nurse RN Intraop, you will bring leadership skills and healthcare passion to our team. This role involves developing leaders within the department, supporting staff retention, implementing change management, and enhancing departmental efficiencies.

You'll have the chance to network with various leaders and physicians to contribute to our growth strategy. We seek a leader who welcomes change and actively drives progress.

This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, 4/10 schedule, with a rotating day off. Some weeks may require 5/8 shifts, holidays, on-call duty, and weekends based on department requirements.

*The ideal candidate will have prior experience in both inpatient and outpatient OR settings, along with leadership experience in the OR.

POSITION SUMMARY
This role offers managerial and clinical support to patients and staff, utilizing clinical expertise to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Oversees clinical, financial, and personnel management of designated areas.


CORE FUNCTIONS
• Manages patient-centered nursing care for specific patient groups, serving as a real-time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians.
• Drives change by initiating and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the director.
• Facilitates communication of initiatives at system, regional, facility, and department levels.
• Manages operational and capital budgets, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
• Develops staff leadership through effective shared leadership models, supporting career progression opportunities.
• Conducts selection, orientation, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of learning.

• Manages one or multiple clinical units to deliver outstanding patient care, while developing entry-level nurse managers and leading clinical improvement initiatives.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

BSN or MSN required for new hires. BSN necessary for internal promotions/transfers within 6 months.
Current RN license in the state of practice and BLS certification required.
Must demonstrate clinical care management expertise through two years of relevant experience. Proficient in critical thinking, communication, decision-making, and flexibility. Familiarity with specialty areas essential.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in nursing preferred.
Additional related education/experience advantageous.
