Job Summary


We are seeking a passionate and experienced High-Level Math Teacher to join our team at Point Arena High School located on the beautiful Mendocino Coast of California.

As a High-Level Math Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to our students and helping them excel in their mathematical abilities.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the high-level math curriculum.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student learning and growth.
  • Utilize various teaching methods and resources to effectively convey complex mathematical concepts.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall math program and student achievement.
  • Stay updated on current trends and advancements in math education to continually improve teaching practices.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Valid teaching credential in Mathematics
  • Proven experience teaching highlevel math courses (AP, IB, honors, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of advanced math concepts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negative TB Test
  • Valid CPR License
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
