Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cisco Client Engineer to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the security and operational efficiency of our network infrastructure across multiple hospital locations.

This role involves maintaining the health of our Cisco Client environment, handling requests and assessments, and actively participating in security council meetings.

The position requires remote work capabilities with necessary travel to various hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:
1.

Maintain Cisco Client Health:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client) to ensure optimal performance and security.
2.

Request Assessment and Implementation:

  • Evaluate, prioritize, and implement Client-related requests to ensure smooth and efficient network operations.
3.

Environment Health Assessment:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Client environment within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Identify issues and areas for improvement to enhance system performance and security.
4.

Cleanup and Optimization:

  • Perform recommended and agreed-upon cleanup activities within 30 days following the initial assessment.
  • Optimize configurations and processes to maintain a healthy network environment.
5.

MIoT Security Counsel Participation:

  • Participate in Medical Internet of Things (MIoT) security counsel meetings.
  • Help establish cycles and timelines for implementing Client-managed controls on MIoT devices.

6. fter-Hours Support:

  • Provide support to the on-call team during after-hours as needed.
  • Ensure timely resolution of any critical issues that arise outside regular working hours.

Required Technologies and Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client)
  • Proficient in Cisco Wireless technologies
  • Strong expertise in Cisco Switch configurations and management
  • Experienced with Cisco Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC)
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and practices
  • Proven experience in assessing and optimizing network environments
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Cisco Client, Wireless, and Switch technologies
  • Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Security, CCIE Security) preferred
  • Experience in healthcare IT environments is a plus
