Primary Care Physician

We are seeking Primary Care Physicians to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Fayetteville VA Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. The Primary Care Physicians will be responsible for covering a range of services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding, currently recognized nationally.

Responsibilities- Provide excellent on-site care for military Veterans.
- Study, diagnose, and treat illnesses, injuries, and other ailments.
- Provide preventative care, detect developing health problems, and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits.
- Perform and document assessments and evaluations of the patients.
- Perform requested consultations and diagnostic studies.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services.
- Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate and recommend treatment plans or referrals.
- Doctor of Medicine, or equivalent degree from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Must have a current active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Family practice experience within the last five years.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Primary Care Physician.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency is required.
- VA Experience preferred.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
