General Function:

  • Responsible for driving the development, design, and testing of machinery and equipment related to Belvac Engineered Machinery. This encompasses mechanical concept development, detailed design and analysis, creation of engineering drawings, and more.
  • Collaborate with Assembly, Service, and Sales teams on technical discussions about products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies using cutting-edge software like Autodesk Inventor and Vault 2020.
  • Take ownership of small-scale projects from concept to implementation, ensuring buy-in from senior engineers.
  • Conduct thorough analysis to support projects, such as bearing life calculations and timing diagrams.
  • Optimize designs to meet cost targets while enhancing functionality.
  • Prepare comprehensive machine packages in line with customer specifications.
  • Assist in the build and commissioning of Product Line Portfolio by addressing design-related inquiries.
  • Support Purchasing and Production Control by handling mechanical design-related inquiries and evaluating non-conforming parts.

Education:

  • BSME or equivalent degree.

Experience:

  • Minimally two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting software.
  • Working knowledge of industry design drafting standards and materials.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

Desired Experience:

  • Advanced expertise with Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
  • Proficiency in industry design drafting standards and tolerance assignments.
  • Experience in designing to safety standards and utilizing Quality and Engineering Tools.
  • Ability to conduct Finite Element Analysis on mechanical designs.

Work Arrangement: Onsite
