Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Pathology Laboratory Assistant to join our team of mission-driven Laboratory professionals.

Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.

You would be responsible for collection, triaging, delivery, accessioning, quality and tracking of all incoming gross pathology specimens.

What You Will Do:

  • Pick up specimens from locations as needed and transports appropriately to the Pathology department and correctly identify specimens, registers, accessions and tracks, and delivers to appropriate location/department including send out testing.
  • Performs frozen sections, assists with FNA's and other procedures. Ensures supplies are ordered and organized for department.
  • Ensures appropriate handling of blocks, specimens, and cassettes. Performs appropriate lab maintenance. Properly cleans and disinfects equipment, instruments and work areas.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Fulltime, Day Shift

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience: Hospital based pathology laboratory or gross room experience preferred.
-
Skills: Organized and have the ability to learn new techniques, procedures and regulations efficiently. Able to organize workload effectively and work quickly with high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
