Key Job Details:
Pay Range: $38+ per hour

  • Location: Taylorsville, NC
  • Full-time role for the entire school year
  • Work hours: 30-40 hours per week
  • Starting Date: 8/19/24
  • Manage a caseload of 30-40 students
  • Deliver SLP services, evaluate, participate in IEP meetings, and document in ECATS & Medicaid
  • Work across multiple school sites with mileage reimbursement

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to determine special education eligibility and create personalized education plans with the team.
  • Offer individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders as per their IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to implement strategies supporting communication skills within the school environment.
  • Participate in initiatives promoting a positive school climate, cultural awareness, and social justice.
  • Train teachers and staff on methods to aid students with speech and language disorders.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid SLP licensure in North Carolina and ASHA certification.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current speech-language pathology practices.
  • Experience with diverse student populations and cultural competence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
