Job Description

Are you seeking the chance to be part of something truly exceptional? Becoming a member of our team at Kids First could be your next step.

As a Behavior Technician or RBT at Kids First, you'll play a vital role in the team and in our clients' lives - providing hands-on therapy in children's homes to help them overcome challenging behaviors.

If you're ready to embark on a journey of discovery, learning about the science behind common behaviors in children today, we'd be thrilled to hear from you.

This role will focus on:

  • Building Strong Connections: Working with kids comes naturally to you. Building relationships with the children we serve is a crucial aspect of this position. You will collaborate closely with your assigned BCBA and the children's guardians to ensure alignment.
  • Goal Tracking and Note-taking: Being observant and detail-oriented is essential. You will assist your assigned client in addressing behaviors while meticulously tracking and documenting them. Concluding each session involves writing notes in our data system.
  • Continuous Learning: In the ever-evolving field of ABA, Behavior Technicians must dedicate time to training and development to stay informed on BACB guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct therapy sessions at the client's home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive environment.
  • Implement personalized treatment plans created by experienced BCBAs.
  • Deliver direct ABA therapy to children, focusing on skill enhancement and behavior management.
  • Utilize evidence-based techniques to teach and reinforce positive behaviors.
  • Record data on children's progress towards goals.
  • Collaborate with the family and team for a holistic approach to care.
  • Receive supervision to ensure proper implementation of ABA techniques.
  • Engage in meetings, training, and evaluations to enhance skills.

The Must-Haves for Success:

  • A friendly, calm, and patient demeanor for handling stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills adaptable to different audiences.
  • A strong work ethic committed to exceptional customer service.
  • The ability to work autonomously effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or adolescents with special needs.
  • Background in providing ABA therapy in educational or home settings.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Organizational skills to multitask in high-stress environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Completion of the 40-hour RBT Course if not already done.

Why Choose Kids First?

  • 20 Hours Guaranteed: New Behavior Technicians committing to specific availability can receive a minimum of 20 hours of sessions weekly.
  • Flexible Work Schedules: Balance work and life with flexible schedules.
  • Ongoing Training: Access continuous training and development opportunities.
  • Career Advancement: Opportunities for growth within the company.
  • Meaningful Work: Contribute significantly to the well-being of our clients.
  • Employee Perks: Enjoy a referral bonus, tuition scholarship program, and voluntary benefits.
