About the Sales Associate role:

  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and policies
  • Manage cash-handling procedures
  • Review and handle all corporate communications relevant to the assigned area
  • Aid in merchandising operations
  • Maintain the designated area
  • Establish and uphold Market Plan and other merchandise guidelines
  • Assist in implementing the company's data integrity process
  • Provide exceptional customer service through direct interaction with customers
  • Engage with and support customers
  • Aid in receiving and stocking operations
  • Unload merchandise from delivery trucks
  • Check in incoming shipments
  • Boost store sales, potentially participating in all Five Below services (e.g., ear piercing, balloons, buy online pick up in store, etc.)
  • Organize merchandise on the sales floor
  • Arrange merchandise displays
  • Perform store upkeep, including tasks such as disposing of trash, sweeping, cleaning restrooms, and managing the stock room
  • This job description does not cover all responsibilities. Additional duties will be assigned by the General Manager based on store requirements.
  • Be on foot throughout the shift
  • Operate the cash register frequently
  • Regularly move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and lift/place items up to 5-10 feet high
  • Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and store stock
  • Regularly kneel, bend, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
  • Interact and exchange information with customers and colleagues frequently, both over the phone and in-person at the store. Must be capable of providing accurate information in these interactions
  • Move around the sales floor frequently to assist customers, as well as to and from the stock room to manage merchandise
  • Must be available for evening and weekend shifts
