Description:

  • Our client has multiple open positions for entry-level cable technicians who will learn cabling on a large scale.
  • They hold an exclusive contract to develop the cable infrastructure throughout the data center.
  • Their role involves assisting senior techs and team leads in various tasks such as pulling cable, pulling fiber, understanding color codes, learning how to terminate fiber, installing cable trays and pathways, and setting up server racks.
  • Typically, technicians will begin by installing cable trays and assembling server racks.

The Client's Job Description:

  • Drop cables down walls using fish tape or other methods.
  • Route cables through the data center.
  • Perform pre-termination procedures by organizing, forming, dressing, and labeling cables correctly.
  • Support cables using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, and other methods.
  • Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as needed.
  • Execute fire-stopping procedures on firewalls and terminate low-voltage devices.
  • Follow provided prints accurately.
  • Complete all paperwork on time and accurately, including timesheets, work orders, and material transfers.
  • Comply with all quality and safety standards set by the Company, customers, and industry regulations.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities.
