The Opportunity:
The role of Credit Balance Specialist involves reviewing all credit balances within the Revenue Cycle.
Essential Job Functions:
- Credit Balance Analyst will review accounts with a credit balance.
- Generate overpayment letters to insurance carriers.
- Review overpayment requests from insurance carriers.
- Prepare Medicare Quarterly Balance Report.
- Analyze all credit balances both patient and insurance.
- Process patient and insurance refunds.
This list is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Job Experience:
1-3 years
Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for this position, including High School Education or GED.
- Some Post High Education (Trade School, College, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience in Healthcare Cash Posting, Registration, Medical Office, Insurance, or billing background is advantageous.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and knowledge is required.
- Passing various tests including typing, 10-key, Revenue Cycle Proficiency, and basic math is necessary.
