Insurance Analyst

Location: S. Fort Harrison, Clearwater, FL

Schedule: After training, some remote work is allowed

Do you have a strong grasp of risk and insurance?

Performing specialized work involving the analysis and management of the County's Property & Casualty insurance program. This includes evaluating insurance requirements for County contracts, reviewing exposure and loss history data, selecting appropriate insurance types and limits, and collaborating with brokers and underwriters for policy placement and renewals.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Preparing insurance applications for renewals and new coverage
  • Analyzing exposure, rating, and loss data for insurance companies
  • Managing policy administration tasks such as binders, endorsements, and renewals
  • Evaluating County liability insurance policies and making necessary modifications
  • Offering guidance to County agencies on property and liability insurance matters
  • Consulting with legal and insurance industry representatives on contract insurance requirements
  • Reviewing contracts and insurance certificates for County vendors
  • Providing technical support on insurance matters to County departments
  • Conducting data analysis for Policy Audits before submission
  • Attending departmental meetings related to insurance
  • Performing other assigned job duties

What Are We Looking For?

Education and Experience:

Minimum of six years of experience in property and casualty insurance analysis, underwriting, and policy administration, or a Bachelor's degree in related fields with two years of relevant experience. Must hold or acquire an Insurance Industry Designation or License within the first year of employment.

  • Florida Driver's License or Florida Commercial Driver's License
  • Flexible work schedules, including emergency situations
