Our Mentor Hospital is a cutting-edge facility that grants Lake County residents expanded access to Cleveland Clinic, one of the leading healthcare systems in the country. With 4 state-of-the-art operating rooms, 34 inpatient care rooms, and even a helipad, we strive to make top-quality care easily accessible to our Lake County patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care in line with established organizational policies and protocols.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Record and communicate patient condition accurately.
- Evaluate, update, and adjust care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinate various disciplines for well-rounded patient care.
- Administer medications and treatments following approved protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to address patient discharge needs.
- Assess educational requirements of patients and families and provide necessary information.
- Conduct ongoing education to enhance professional growth.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing school, with a preference for a BSN.
Certifications:
- Must hold a current state RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Specific certifications may be needed based on the work area.
Complexity of Work:
- Need critical thinking skills, good judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
Work Experience:
- At least one year of acute care RN experience.
- Additional experience may be required based on the care setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of motion and physical capabilities.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must meet vision and hearing standards.
- May be exposed to various health risks.
- Physically demanding role.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follow standard precautions and use necessary protective equipment.
