We are currently in search of qualified individuals to occupy the role of Project Manager for the Municipal division located in South Portland, ME. This position calls for someone who can make an immediate impact on our operations as we strive to enhance client service delivery. The ideal candidate should possess a professional demeanor, forward-thinking mindset, innovative approach, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative spirit while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously.

Compensation: $85,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER:
  • Independently conduct and adapt engineering calculations and analyses for specific design projects.
  • Create drawings and graphics using various design software.
  • Develop engineering reports, permit applications, bid documents, and other necessary written materials.
  • Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Utilize stormwater and hydraulic models to troubleshoot and analyze design projects.
  • Produce and review quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates.
  • Interpret design guidelines, specifications, and regulations applicable to municipal projects.
  • Oversee basic survey work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and subconsultant activities.
  • Participate in design meetings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to Design Engineers and review their work for accuracy.
  • Manage project finances, invoices, and contractual agreements.
  • Act as a liaison between office staff, contractors, regulatory bodies, and clients.
  • Ensure project deliverables exceed client expectations.
  • Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CIVIL ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER:
  • Minimum Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is desirable.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
