We are looking for a Patient Feeding Host/Hostess

The Patient Feeding Host/Hostess role, supervised by food service and clinical nutrition leaders, involves performing food service preparation tasks to support production, patient feeding, and retail dining programs.

Team members in this position ensure that all food products are nutritionally compliant as per each patient's prescribed diet order.

Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patient care areas to identify and address needs efficiently.
  • Evaluate patient diet orders to ensure all dietary requirements are met.
  • Collaborate effectively with clinical nutrition team representatives when preparing meals for patients.
  • Identify regular menus on CBORD to distribute trays accurately.
  • Orient patients and families to Food and Nutrition Programs to meet their needs.
  • Deliver patient trays to clinical areas.
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of patient meal trays and food items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and diet tech staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and clinical team members.
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures and ensure tasks are completed by all team members.

Qualifications
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Willingness to work with chemicals, heated equipment, and steam.

This role involves physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended periods of walking and standing. It may also require the use of uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
