About the Role: As a Lead Experience Designer at Verizon, you will play a key role in shaping end-to-end customer experiences for a range of consumer products and services, influencing millions of daily interactions across various platforms. You will lead a talented team of designers, design strategists, and product managers in crafting the future of customer experiences.

  • Generate and maintain customer-centric activities for consumer-facing products.
  • Offer guidance to brainstorm innovative solutions and provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Collaborate with product, technology, and business partners on complex design programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in user context exploration and target user activities.
  • Conduct insight-gathering activities and design solutions based on user insights.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive products, and company strategies.
  • Design solutions aligned with business goals, revenue models, and UI standards.
  • Communicate project plans, goals, and outcomes effectively.
  • Provide mentorship, design reasoning, and project needs analysis.
  • Lead cross-disciplinary teams in problem-solving and design activities.
  • Ensure the use of shared tools and systems for design solutions.
  • Identify and resolve impediments to team productivity.
  • Contribute thought leadership to the design community.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum six years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in Agile environments and common design software.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
