Job Description: As a vital member of the engineering platform team, you will drive the development of high-performance applications and services. Your expertise in MongoDB and other technologies will be key to enhancing the platform's functionality, collaborating with a dedicated team to uphold our client's industry leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the engineering platform.
- Lead MongoDB integration and optimization efforts for enhanced performance.
- Collaborate with front-end developers for a seamless user experience.
- Implement best software development practices for code quality and performance.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster continuous improvement.
- Explore new technologies like AWS and graph databases for improved solutions.
- Stay updated on software development trends to enhance the platform continually.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 6 years of development experience with a focus on web applications and APIs.
- Proficiency in MongoDB and familiarity with graph databases.
- Strong skills in code refactoring, unit testing, and ensuring code quality.
- Experience with AWS, microservices architecture, and front-end technologies.
- Ability to adapt quickly, collaborate effectively, and solve problems efficiently.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Hourly rate ranging between 65-74/hr on W2, based on experience level.
