- Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and light commercial solar PV systems.
- Troubleshoot PV systems and resolve electrical issues.
- Collect and transport all materials necessary for the timely completion of assigned projects.
- Ensure all assigned projects are installed according to all applicable codes.
- Aid in testing electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development, or operation activities.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Record parts, materials, labor, and other cost data per project on work orders.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, perform job site cleanup, and return unused resources.
- Safely operate hand and power tools while working on projects.
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements.
- Travel to residential and business sites according to an established schedule.
- Provide consistent delivery of excellent service and quality work ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and best practices for electrical wiring, amperage, voltage, wattage, installing PVC, pulling wire, and using a multimeter.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Current enrollment or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship or other technical program is required.
- A valid driver's license and an insurable driving record is required.
