Overview:


The Rancheria Security Manager performs a variety of supervisory and professional work in planning, coordinating and managing the activities of the Rancheria Security Department.


Responsible for supervising Rancheria Security Officers and Sergeants assigned to fixed post entry gates/points, access to Reservation remote areas, patrols on Rancheria property, patrols in various vehicle garages, vehicle parking lots, RV Park, General Store, Hotel complex, off site properties, and other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates Rancheria Security department operations.
  • Ensures the safety and security of tribal members, employees, customers and tribal property.
  • Coordinates the information gathered and work accomplished by various Officers; assigns Officers to special investigations as the needs arise for their specific skills.
  • Conducts research and assists with drafting departmental policies and procedures.
  • Cooperates with County, State and Federal law enforcement officers as appropriate where activities of the Tribal Security Department are involved. Effectively represent the Rancheria Security Department in contacts with the public and other law enforcement agencies.
  • Maintain and control secure areas, document all vehicle and pedestrian traffic entering and departing tribal residential area.
  • Enforcement of Rancheria rules and regulations pertaining to customer(s), employee(s) and residents' guests conduct.
  • Ensures that staff assignments are conducted in accordance with departmental rules and regulations.
  • Ensures proper use of department equipment.
  • Assists with calls for the protection of life and property.
  • Responds to emergency alarms.
  • Reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate authority.
  • Interviews victims, complainants, and witnesses and observes and reacts to suspected illegal activity.
  • Carefully observe incidents and situations, accurately remembering names, faces, numbers, circumstances, and places.
  • May establish and maintain record and identification systems.
  • May conduct shift briefings and assign patrol staff to coverage areas.
  • When required assists local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
  • Make independent judgments and adopt quick, effective, and responsible courses of action during emergencies.
  • Keeps firearms and other equipment in good working condition.
  • Know all Rancheria Security post duties and requirements
  • Know all Departmental policies and procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPIERENCE

  • 5 or more years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ca. Class C Drivers license required - Must be vehicle insurable through JRCR's Agent

Pay range:
$66,900 to $87,000 per year

*Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am.
