YOUR ROLE AS A PART-TIME LPN


Join our team at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as an LPN specializing in opioid treatment at our Hampton Roads Clinic.

Be part of providing crucial outpatient treatment for adults with opioid dependence, offering comprehensive care including medication management and psycho-social services.

Collaborate with our dedicated team to support clients in their recovery journey, conducting assessments, administering medications, and providing counseling.


Your role will involve assisting the staff psychiatrist in medication management, ensuring the well-being of clients, and maintaining accurate records.

To excel in this role at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you will need to be a graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing with a minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in medication administration, preferably in substance abuse treatment, psychiatric settings, or long-term care facilities involving narcotic medications.

As an LPN in our opioid treatment program, you should possess excellent assessment skills to evaluate both physical and mental health needs.

Proficiency in dispensing medications and monitoring clients' responses is essential. Additionally, the ability to provide supportive counseling and maintain detailed documentation is vital for this position.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:


Graduate of an accredited LPN school of nursing with one year of experience in the administration of medication or a substance abuse treatmentpsychiatric setting or long-term care facility including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
