Position:
Psychiatry Technician

Altru Hospital is seeking a dedicated Psychiatry Technician to join our team in Grand Forks, ND. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting information on patients' needs, facilitating therapeutic interactions, assisting with admissions, and more. This is a part-time position with 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect information on patients' individual and educational needs and perform procedures as delegated.
  • Facilitate therapeutic interactions with patients.
  • Assist in patient care across different units as required.
  • Obtain and document pertinent information for admissions process under supervision.
  • Transport patients, assist with discharge, and complete necessary documentation.
  • Identify high-risk situations and respond according to protocols.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental needs.
Certifications Required:
  • Nurse Aide certification from North Dakota Board of Health within 4 months of start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
