Position SummaryAs an entry level the Material Handler maintains incoming and outgoing product movement throughout the facility.

Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Uses computer to enter records. Drives material handling equipment to transport stored items. Loads and unloads trailers of palletized and non-palletized product. Utilizes manual and automated material handling equipment. Practices and adheres to appropriate safety and hygiene guidelines/procedures for safe housekeeping and personal protection. May perform other duties as required. FORMAL EDUCATIONRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent

2 KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively to team members and management staff. Must be able to read information through warehouse computer software.
