Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and uphold the Company Core Values and operating principles.
- Develop, implement, and oversee the Mental Health Program, including staff training and counseling.
- Advise and collaborate with the Center Director and Health Services staff on mental health matters.
- Conduct staff training on mental health principles and techniques.
- Integrate mental health initiatives with other Center programs and activities.
- Provide consultation and guidance on mental health issues to students and staff.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements and maintain confidentiality of records.
- Offer evaluation and diagnostic services to students, including limited psychiatric treatment.
- Arrange off-campus referrals and treatments for students as necessary.
- Provide on-call mental health services for emergencies.
- Document and handle referrals for students recommended for program termination.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Social Worker.
Preferred:
- Previous Job Corps experience.
Knowledge Required:
- Understanding of mental health issues affecting disadvantaged youth.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to connect with young adults and build relationships with students and staff.
- Strong decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in interpreting regulations and writing reports.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Strong assessment capabilities.
- Flexible work schedule.
