Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and uphold the Company Core Values and operating principles.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the Mental Health Program, including staff training and counseling.
  • Advise and collaborate with the Center Director and Health Services staff on mental health matters.
  • Conduct staff training on mental health principles and techniques.
  • Integrate mental health initiatives with other Center programs and activities.
  • Provide consultation and guidance on mental health issues to students and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with program requirements and maintain confidentiality of records.
  • Offer evaluation and diagnostic services to students, including limited psychiatric treatment.
  • Arrange off-campus referrals and treatments for students as necessary.
  • Provide on-call mental health services for emergencies.
  • Document and handle referrals for students recommended for program termination.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

- Active, unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical/Counseling Psychologist or Social Worker.

Preferred:

- Previous Job Corps experience.

Knowledge Required:

  • Understanding of mental health issues affecting disadvantaged youth.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to connect with young adults and build relationships with students and staff.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in interpreting regulations and writing reports.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Strong assessment capabilities.
  • Flexible work schedule.
