Job Description

CNC Machinist III / NPI Center CNC Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:

Create machined parts by operating CNC machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, and keeping detailed records. Uphold Align Precision's core values of continuous improvement, customer-centric innovation, and a winning culture while meeting company performance goals.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate, set up, and program CNC mills to precise specifications
  • Perform machining operations according to engineering requirements
  • Propose new production setups and make necessary adjustments
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes
  • Create work instructions and assist in improving fixtures
  • Ensure product quality through meticulous inspection
  • Contribute to enhancing productivity and safety standards
  • Record activities accurately and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify and address manufacturing issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area
  • Complete assigned duties and projects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks or MasterCAM is beneficial

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain CNC machines
  • Proficiency in running multiple CNC machines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions
  • Commitment to safety practices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Capability to train other machinists

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

As a CNC Machinist, you may be required to perform standing, walking, lifting, and operating tasks. Specific vision abilities for close and distance viewing are essential. Adaptability and focus are key in this role.
