Join our team:

As a Milieu Counselor at St. John's Riverside Hospital, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication with patients and maximizing program participants in the inpatient treatment programs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a therapeutic environment
  • Building and maintaining relationships with patients and hospital personnel
  • Ensuring patient confidentiality
  • Observing patient behavior and documenting observations
  • Assisting in crisis intervention situations
  • Coordinating patient admission process
  • Assisting patients with attending group sessions and activities
  • Participating in patient care and safety initiatives

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Some college education preferred
  • Six months of related experience
  • CASAC-T certification preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
