Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This role involves regular cleaning of the interior spaces within all University buildings. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Custodian for the following position:

Main Campus at Goodwin University:
  • Full-Time Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Cleaning, dusting, disinfecting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the interior areas of College buildings such as offices, classrooms, conference rooms, restrooms, cafeteria, computer rooms, laboratories, libraries, and lounge areas.
  • Performing standardized tasks in a safe manner while adhering to all safety protocols.
Other Functions:

In addition to primary responsibilities, the role may involve:
  • Undertaking similar or related tasks as needed or directed.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development and staying updated on industry trends.
  • Supporting other department staff to foster a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge, Ability and Skill:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the University community.
  • Understanding of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in cleaning activities.
