Job Title: Dyeing Lead

Position Overview:

Position Objective: Help the Supervisor oversee the shift daily, focusing on safety, training, and enhancing quality. Have a good grasp of all dye range tasks in order to step in for breaks, lunches, absences, or unexpected downtime.

Essential Duties:

• Ensure all tasks on the line are done accurately and be ready to perform any task as necessary, from roll lay-up to equipment operation.
• Inspect dyed rolls, maintain reports, and handle data entry.
• Participate in training new employees on the line.
• Provide guidance to all line staff.
• Help with color matching and dye adjustments.
• Schedule production and extend formulas for dyeing.
• Assume the Supervisor's role when required.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED; 3-6 months of relevant experience or training.

Experience:

• Prior experience in a dye house, ideally as a machine operator, dryer operator, utility, or dye weigher.

Other Requirements:

• Proficient in computer operation.
• Passing the Munsell Color Test.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic reading and math abilities.
• Leadership qualities for motivating teams.
• Capable of following instructions, managing stress, and staying focused.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in an industrial environment with noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature changes.
• Capable of handling any task on the dye range.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and chemicals.

Work Shift:

8-hour fixed shift, starting in the afternoon.
