The Role in Brief
As an Associate Data Analyst specializing in Financial Aid Optimization, you will play a vital role in a tight-knit team dedicated to uncovering data-driven insights to enhance enrollment outcomes for our university partners. You will collaborate with senior members of the firm and fellow analysts to explain to partners the practical implications of enrollment data. This position may involve periodic travel to various college campuses throughout the year and is based in Richmond, VA or Minneapolis, MN.

Primary Responsibilities
- Working closely with senior Data Analysts to gather and organize student-related enrollment and financial aid data
- Developing descriptive charts and graphs
- Preparing data for forecasting models through statistical analysis

General tasks include
- Requesting data from partners
- Assisting partners with data-related queries
- Checking data accuracy and rectifying errors
- Communicating data inconsistencies to partners and helping resolve them
- Cleaning partner data for statistical analysis
- Creating charts, graphs, and PowerPoint presentations for partners

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills in person, via email, and over the phone

Ideal Qualifications
- Knowledge of college enrollment and/or financial aid programs, with a preference for non-profit sector experience
- Experience conducting analyses using Microsoft Access
- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL
- Ability to stay composed and focused under pressure
- Capable of independently solving problems and seeking assistance when needed

Compensation
The expected starting salary range for this position falls between $50,000 and $52,500 annually. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is uncommon for an individual to join at or near the top of the salary range for their role.
