JOB DESCRIPTION

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity with a prominent insurance company for the position of Junior Quality Assurance (QA) specialist. Joining a dynamic team of 7-8+ professionals, you will play a crucial role in developing automation scripts, testing APIs, and conducting webservices testing. Your primary focus will revolve around functional testing related to the RPA BOTS, with the ultimate aim of streamlining and automating the BOT processes.

  • 70% of your responsibilities will involve manual testing, while the remaining 30% will be dedicated to automation testing. Over time, the ratio will shift as we ramp up automation testing for the RPA bots.

Role Details:

This full-time position is 100% REMOTE, but candidates must reside in the PST time zone. Initially offered as a 6-month contract role, there is a potential opportunity for conversion to a permanent position based on performance and contribution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution
  • 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation, particularly in API testing using tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured
  • Strong background in Java programming (2-3+ years of experience)
  • Proficiency in Selenium Web Driver (2+ years of experience)
  • Demonstrated ability in writing and implementing automation test cases and leveraging test automation tools
  • Experience in reviewing software requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passion for software and software testing
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Self-learning aptitude and team collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of Jenkins
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
  • Exposure to UIPath (RPA - robotic process automation tool)
