Payroll Processor Job Responsibilities

Temporary Payroll for a Staffing Industry

• Performs weekly payroll by collecting, calculating, and entering data into the payroll system
• Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions and insurance coverage.
• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.
• Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers' compensation payments.
• Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and interacting with HR Departments.
• Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
• Maintains and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

• Workers Comp

Client Billing

• Bills Clients weekly based on hours worked by Temp
• Liquidation Charges for perm hire
• Totaling hours worked for payroll transfers

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• High school diploma required; associate's degree preferred
• Experience working in an office setting
• Previous payroll experience a most
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
