Company Overview: Our client is looking for a dynamic candidate to assist the Purchasing Manager as they are rapidly expanding and growing The company is dedicated to providing high-quality products and services to our clients.
Position Overview: The Buyer will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchasing Manager with procurement activities while also taking on administrative responsibilities to facilitate the growth of our client base and department. The ideal candidate will have a background in purchasing, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing Products: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, source products, and establish relationships to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Logistics and Bills of Lading: Demonstrate knowledge of logistics processes and Bills of Lading to coordinate the efficient movement of goods and materials.
- Vendor Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maintaining positive relationships.
- Price Comparison: Conduct thorough price comparisons and analysis to ensure competitive pricing and cost savings.
- Strong Analytics: Utilize analytical skills to assess market trends, vendor performance, and purchasing data to make informed decisions.
- Advanced Excel and MS Office: Proficiently use advanced Excel functions and MS Office applications to manage and analyze data, create reports, and streamline administrative processes.
- Administrative Duties: Provide administrative support as needed, including but not limited to data entry, document management, and coordinating with various departments.
- Computer Savvy: Demonstrate a high level of proficiency with computer systems and software applications related to purchasing and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience in purchasing and administrative roles.
- Knowledge of the food industry (helpful but not mandatory).
- Bilingual in Spanish (helpful but not mandatory).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
