Job Description:

The Clinical Applications Specialist III is a highly experienced professional in supporting various clinical applications. This role entails expertise in application functionality, reporting capabilities, interfacing, and integration specific to assigned clinical applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Implementing applications, integrating systems, configuring systems, customizing systems, performing upgrades/updates, providing user training, managing user access, ensuring high availability, and other assigned duties.
  • Maintaining referential data changes across assigned clinical applications, staying updated with industry standards through monthly clinical updates.
  • Assisting in implementing new application functionality, such as interfaces, by defining clinical requirements, participating in testing, and developing related workflows.
  • Testing new and existing functionality before application upgrades and releases.
  • Facilitating the implementation of third-party software and related application modules through software configuration and workflow development.
  • Engaging in user groups and forums to exchange experiences and solutions with peers from different healthcare systems.
  • Adapting workflows and application setup to comply with regulations from federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Developing policies and procedures for optimal electronic patient record practices and effectively communicating them to users and physicians.
  • Collaborating with physicians to define clinical content requirements such as forms, letters, and pick-lists.
  • Supervising configuration changes and issue resolutions by team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.

  • In-depth knowledge of associated workflows and integration of application(s) within the clinical setting.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical or scientific information and convey it effectively to various audiences.
  • Proficiency in utilizing diverse media for documentation and communications, including word processor applications and web platforms.
  • Capability to create, deliver, and produce training presentations for both clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Self-driven individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skills to recognize, establish, enhance, and capitalize on existing relationships.
