RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement safety programs to ensure a secure work environment for all employees.
  • Manage facility systems using various computer software programs.
  • Bring fresh insights to electrical control systems, including PLC data collection and display.
  • Resolve issues related to various electrical components from different manufacturers.
  • Offer electrical planning assistance for multiple capital projects.
  • Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting equipment problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with a solid history of electrical controls expertise.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with automation control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and multiple manufacturing systems.
  • Capability to integrate equipment data into the facility's computer monitoring system.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 electrical codes.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with automation control systems.
  • Ability to develop PLC and HMI software programs.
  • Experience in statistical process control methodology.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to train electricians and operators on control systems.
  • Experience with foundry equipment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Wonderware(AVEVA) and/or Movicon is beneficial.
  • Designing control systems for monitoring production and manufacturing processes.
